Campus Profile

Baty Elementary School was constructed and rededicated in September 1999. The original Baty Elementary School was built and dedicated in 1985, and for 14 years was located across from the former Bergstrom Air Force Base. Its relocation was attributed to both district and city efforts to allow for the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Baty is named for Mrs. Willie Baty, a retired Del Valle educator.

Mission:

At Baty Elementary, where “Winners Love To Learn,” we expect all students to exemplify our three school-wide expectations which are to be safe, be respectful and be responsible.

We understand that a child’s first teacher is their parent and strongly believe that it takes a village to raise a child. This goal can be accomplished when we work together through a school, family and community partnership.
