Marcela Vasquez, Baty Elementary School Counselor, was born in Eagle Pass, Texas. She attended Sul Ross State University and received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and is finishing her M.A from Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Vasquez was a first-grade dual language teacher here at Baty for 4 years before transitioning to a the School Counselor.

Integral Care

Paresa Mosavi, LPC-Associate (Supervised by Ingrid M. Perdigon Gomez, LPC-S) holds her B.A. in Anthropology from Southwestern University and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Edward’s University. She joined Integral Care’s school-based therapy team in January 2026, and has been serving the students of Baty Elementary as their school-based mental health therapist since February 2026. She utilizes a person-centered, trauma-informed skills training curriculum to help support social-emotional learning and healing at Baty. Paresa is currently under clinical supervision and working towards obtaining her full LPC licensure in the state of Texas. If you would like to refer any student please talk to Ms. Vasquez Baty School Counselor. 

Communities In Schools

Communities In Schools (CIS) is a program that works alongside Baty Elementary to support students and families by helping remove barriers that may impact a student’s success in school. CIS provides individualized support in focused areas such as academic achievement, attendance, social-emotional well-being, and family engagement.
CIS works with students, families, teachers, counselors, and campus administrators to identify student needs, provide support, and connect families with school and community resources. Our goal is to help students feel supported, stay engaged, and have the tools and resources they need to thrive in school and beyond.
